Background in Nursing and Post Graduate Qualifications in Development Studies. My research interests span from Clinical and epidemiological aspects of RHD, patient-centered outcomes and experiences, community health knowledge and practices, healthcare pathway optimization, using mixed-methods research approaches. As part of the Fijian project coordination team with the Strep A Vaccine Global Consortium (SAVAC), I hope to specialize in community surveillance and epidemiological research. The project focuses on understanding disease burden, implementing standardized data collection protocols, and engaging community stakeholders to support evidence-based vaccine development strategies. I am also interested in climate change and health and currently engaged in a project investigating relationships between air pollution and children's respiratory health in Fiji, focusing on community knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP). Using mixed-methods research, we will explore local understanding of environmental health risks and traditional practices to inform culturally appropriate interventions for protecting children's respiratory health in Pacific Island communities
