Professor Asha Bowen OAM GAICD is a paediatric infectious diseases specialist at Perth Children's Hospital and Head of the Healthy Skin Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia and University of Western Australia. Asha is passionate about improving skin health, preventing infectious diseases, and reducing health inequities for Aboriginal children and communities through research, clinical care, and public health initiatives. Her work spans epidemiology, implementation science, and health policy, with a strong focus on translating research into practice and improving outcomes for children and families. She has received numerous honours, including the Medal of the Order of Australia (2024) and the WA Premier's Science Award for Mid-Career Scientist of the Year (2025).
