Dr David McMillan is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He is a past Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow based at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, and senior post-doctoral researcher - doctoral researcher at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research. Dr McMillan has contribute to multiple areas of streptococcal research including epidemiology, pathogenesis and preclinical vaccine evaluation. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast Dr McMillan has developed a new research program aimed at identifying and characterising novel antimicrobials from synthetic and natural sources.
