My specialty is Microbiology and Immunology. Especially, I am focused on the research for Streptococci in the oral cavity which causes systemic diseases. I have two projects in progress, 1) the elucidation of the onset mechanism of multiple organ failure in the streptococcal toxic shock syndrome and investigation of new therapeutic methods, and 2) investigation of the new control strategies for drug-resistant pathogenic streptococci using systems biology. I am also very interested in the relationship between the bacterial metabolic pathway and the mechanism of pathogenic- of antibiotic- phenotype.
